Taking your dog up to the cabin this summer? Does your kitty like to go outside? Traveling with your pets this year? Consider having your pet microchipped! Even if your summer adventures only go as far as your own backyard, a pet microchip can still offer you peace of mind. Fences fall over, gates blow open and maybe fido or kitty will go for a summer adventure on their own!

A microchip is a radio-frequency identification transponder that carries a unique identification number. It’s roughly the size of a grain of rice. When the microchip is scanned by a vet or shelter, it transmits an ID number. When your pet’s registered microchip is scanned, the animal shelter or vet clinic will find your phone number so they can contact you as soon as your pet is found!

The microchip can help get you reunited with your lost pet!!!
